Lino Cortez Magaña, 75, was called by the Heavenly Father on June 22, 2017. He was born on Sept. 13, 1941,in Bryan, TX., to Eusebio and Vicenta Magaña. He lived in Bryan in his younger years. Moved to Stafford, as a teenager. He worked at the Frost Ranch and then as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding bulls and calf roping all over Texas. He made his presenceknown and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Vicenta Magana; his brothers, Pedro and Pablo Magaña; his sisters, Josefina Mendoza, Mary Reyes,Elvira Jimenez andChristina Peralez.

Lino Magaña is survived by his daughter, Linda Magaña Vazquez; two grandsons, Sabino Vazquez, II. and Fernando Vazquez;his brothers, SammyMagaña Simon Magaña andRudy Magaña; his sisters,Lupe Mendoza and Rosa Sanchez.

​Viewing will be held on Mon., June 26, 2017, from 5PM to 8PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 139 Pecan Drive, Rosenberg, TX. 77471. Funeral service will be held on Tues., June 27, 2017, at 10AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will be at San Gabriel Cemetery, in Richmond, Texas, next his father and mother.
