Carolyn Pirie

Carolyn Pirie, 74, of Richmond, TX., was born on November 24, 1951, and passed away on December 28, 2025.

Carolyn was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend to many, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor University and the University of Houston, where she graduated with a degree in business. Carolyn dedicated her professional life to healthcare, working as a Senior Manager in Health Economics at Medtronic for more than 23 years. Prior to her time at Medtronic, she spent 13 years at Medical Center Anesthesia.

Outside of her career, Carolyn was deeply passionate about gardening and found great joy in playing cards, spending time with family, and fishing. Hall’s Bayou always held a special place in her heart and was a source of many cherished memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert James and Ruth Lucille Pirie.

She is survived by her brother; Robert James Pirie, Jr.; her sister, Margaret Pirie Gardner; her niece; Kristin Hallows and her husband, Mark; her nephews, Bryan Gardner and his wife, Anna, Robert James Pirie III, Michael Tracy “Joe Bob” Pirie and wife, Lindsey, and James Pirie and his wife, Donna; along with numerous other family members and dear loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 13223 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478 on January 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall
