Eugene Moreno, a devoted family man and respected member of the construction community, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Richmond, Texas. Born on August 26, 1946, in Rosenberg, Texas, Eugene spent his lifetime enriching the lives of those around him, both through his professional work and his unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

Eugene built a distinguished career in construction, where his skill, integrity, and commitment left a lasting impact. His contributions to the field were marked by a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for craftsmanship.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Moreno, who stood by his side throughout their life together. Eugene was the proud father of Robert Moreno and his wife Mona, as well as Amy Rocha and her husband Ricky, who carry forward his legacy with love and respect. He was also a cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 22 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring bond he nurtured within his family.

A visitation to honor Eugene’s life will be held on June 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at E. P. Compean Funeral Directors, located at 1223 Sixth Street, Rosenberg, Texas. Additionally, a ceremony will take place on the same day at 5:00 p.m., concluding at 5:30 p.m., allowing friends and community members an opportunity to pay their respects.
