James Laroy Freeman

James Laroy Freeman, 83, was born on Feb. 17, 1941, and went to be with his “Lord & Loved Ones” on Dec. 14, 2024.  

James is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Freeman, Florine and Bill Nixon; wife, Kitty Freeman; his brother, Bobby Freeman. 

He leaves behind his daughters, Desma Stephens, Philis Rivera and husband Ray, Shawn Johnston and husband Craig; 14 grandchildren, Curtis Stephens, Daphna Stephens, Adam Rivera, Aaron Rivera, Rachael Kaufman (Kaleb), Alex Rivera, Allen Rivera, Christina Rivera, Susanna Villanueva (JV), Daniel Rivera, Elizabeth Rivera, Michelle Rivera, Kasie Kessler, Hope Howard (Justin); 9 great grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Bryce, Lindsay, Noel, Kenny, Riley, Bodhi and Easton; along with numerous other family members and friends. 

A Memorial service will be held on Sat., Jan. 18, 2025, at 10:00am in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors. The family will be welcoming friends and family at 9:30am.
