Jennifer Susan Tharp

Jennifer Susan Tharp, age 70 of Rosenberg, TX passed away on June 17, 2025. Jennifer was born to the late Charles Ellis Wenzel, Sr and Catherine Dorothy Wenzel in Richmond, Texas on February 9, 1955. She was married to Samuel “Sambo” Tharp, the love of her life on January 15, 1977.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Ellis Wenzel, Sr, husband Samuel, brother Gregory Lloyd Wenzel and her beloved pets, Phantom, Gwenivere, Pearl and Bailey.

Survivors include her mother, Catherine Dorothy Wenzel, brother Charles, Jr and wife Mariellen, children Trey Wenzel, Ashley Franklin and Kaydey Brewster. Sister Lynn Dawson, children Tory Dawson and Lauren Prather. Sister Lynda Davis and husband Harvey, children Breezie Reeves, Dakota Rector and lifelong friend Nancy Pollan Harris. Along with 19 great-nieces and great-nephews. Jennifer’s family was her life and she adored them unconditionally.

Jennifer was chosen class favorite numerous times, had the voice of an angel and held the lead in many of her high school choir musicals. She had an infectious laugh that made you smile. Jennifer lived her life in this same manner and was loved by everyone she worked with or had the pleasure of meeting.
