Johnnie Plata Jr.

Johnnie Plata Jr., 66, of Richmond, TX, was born on Feb. 2, 1951 and passed away on Feb. 3, 2017.

A graveside service will be held on Sat., Feb. 25, 2017, at 10am at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Maria Escobedo Plata; parents, Juan and Francis (Garza) Plata; brother, Joe Plata; niece, Shelby Casanez; nephew, Misael Garza III; grandson, Ramiro Garcia Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Frances Jurado and husband Jonathan, Janie Garcia and husband Ruben, Louisa Soto, Maria Arroyo and husband Francisco; sister, Sara Gonzalez and husband Tomas, Alicia Ramirez, Mary Ann Plata, Theresa Zavala and husband Enrique; brothers, Lupe Plata, Richard Plata and wife Patsy, Ted Plata; 35 grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
