Jorge Polendo

Jorge Polendo, 73, of Rosenberg, was born September 9, 1950, and passed away on February 22, 2024. 

Visitation will be held in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors from 5pm to 8pm with a rosary being prayed 6:30pm on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024.  

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 12:30pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX.

Jorge is preceded in death by his father; Robert Lapidus; daughter, Veronica Polendo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Oralia Polendo; sons, Jorge Luis Polendo and Roberto Lavenant; daughters, Magdalena Polendo and her husband Randy Davila, and Maria Chapa and her husband Mario Chapa; mother, Maria Lapidus; 7 grandchildren, Kevin Davila, Kolton Davila, Kyson Davila, Kayden Davila, Luis Chapa, Alexis Chapa and Zaira Chapa; sisters, Magdalena Cognet and Gloria Lapidus Nino; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones. 

Jorge was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend with a heart of gold who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
