Jose “Joe” Eliseo Becerra joined his beloved wife of 59 years, Irma Noyola Becerra, in eternal rest on March 17, 2026.
He was born on June 14, 1936, in Mexico to Santos Guajardo and Jose Apolinar Becerra. Joe was raised in Rosenberg, Texas, where he was the oldest of nine siblings.
He graduated from Lamar CISD schools and went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin before earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston.
Joe proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Fisher Scientific Company for many years before retiring and later joining his sons at the front desk of their law and dental offices. There, he became known to many as “Mr. B,” warmly greeting every client and patient with kindness and a welcoming smile.
Joe and Irma built a beautiful life together in Richmond, Texas, where they raised their two sons, Judge James Christian Becerra and Dr. William Troy Rodriguez. He was immensely proud of his boys and their accomplishments. Being a grandfather—alongside his beloved wife—to Elizabeth, Gabriella, Kritzia, and Nicholas brought him tremendous joy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul, Felix, Joaquin “Jack,” and Richard Becerra, and his sister Janie Becerra.
Joe leaves behind his children, his two loving daughters-in-law, Lacy Becerra and Leticia Rodriguez, his grandchildren, and a large, loving family who will miss him dearly. We take comfort in knowing that Joe and Irma are reunited and at peace.
