Kenneth Wayne Tielke

Kenneth Wayne Tielke, 69, beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend left this life after a long battle fighting cancer to be with his “Lord & Loved Ones” on Oct. 16, 2017.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg, 1106 4^th Street, with a gathering of friends and family to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Bernhardt Tielke. He is survived by his mother, Sophia Anna Oldag; sons, Charles Alan Tielke and Michael Shoemaker and wife Meredith; daughters, Lisa Kay Foley and husband Paul, Nichole Gonzalez and husband Gerardo; brother, Thomas Tielke and wife Suzy; sister, Brenda Mahon and husband Michael; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; along with many nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.

Kenneth held a successful career as Supervisor at Reliant/HL&P for 40 years and served as President of the South Texas Jurisdictional Conference of the United Methodist Men 2012-2017. He is described by his friends as devoted, courageous, a faithful servant to God and being an inspirational leader.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the service for the United Methodist Men Foundation or First United Methodist Church of Rosenberg.
