Lindell G. Dane

Lindell G. Dane passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 19, 2022. He was born in Belgrade, Missouri on August 22, 1937, to Lacy and Nellie Dane, and grew up in Leadwood, Missouri.  He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors, 1223 Sixth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2pm. The family will be welcoming other friends and loved ones beginning at 1:30pm.

Lindell married Elena Mena on July 27, 1963, and together they raised four children.  After living several years in Fairmont City and Collinsville, Illinois, they moved to Rosenberg, Texas. Lindell loved Texas, where he and Elena put down firm roots as they worked together in their business, Better Care Cleaning. They also owned Rosenberg Janitorial Supply for many years. Lindell was a true Christian Deacon, serving at First Baptist Church for many years.

Lindell was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elena, his sisters, Darlene Valentine and Carol Dane, and a beloved son, Phillip Bittle.  Lindell is survived by his children Kim (Scott) Thomas, Brett Dane, Bart Dane, and Lynne (Phil) Bittle. Grandchildren Andrew Thomas, Rosemary (Mike Pringle) Thomas, Matt Bittle, Madison Bittle, Matt (Cassidy) Green, Ashley (Chad) Charles, Emily Dane, Jacob Dane, and Cecily Dane also survive him. Lindell’s great-grandchildren include Peyton Williams, Beau Green, Charlotte Thomas, Evan Pringle, Russell and Scott Ray.  Lindell remembered fondly his extended family, which includes cousins Sam Dane, Gary (Pat) Dane, Janet (LaDon) Dane, Ellen (Neill) Long, Brenda (Chuck) Cashion, and Sister-in-law, Micki Mena, along with many nieces and nephews.
