Manuel Flores, a beloved patriarch and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Richmond, Texas. Born on April 28, 1934, in Mexico, Mr. Flores lived a life marked by devotion to his family, deep cultural roots, and enduring love for those around him.
Throughout his 92 years, Manuel Flores exemplified strength, kindness, and dedication. His journey was one that spanned generations, lives, and stories, and his presence touched the hearts of many. As a respected father, brother, and lifelong companion, he leaves behind a vibrant legacy carried forward by his loved ones.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Irene Flores, and his children Marco, Martha, Bertha, Norma, and Virginia Flores, who upheld their father's values and traditions with great pride and gratitude. Additionally, he is fondly remembered by his 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense joy and inspiration to him throughout his life. His bond with his siblings, Rodolfo and Udelia Flores, remains a testament to a family rooted in mutual respect and affection.
Manuel was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Manuel Flores Santos and Hortensia Santos; his son Juan Manuel Flores; and his sisters Petra and Francisca Flores. Their memories live on, intertwined with his, in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on June 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., held at E. P. Compean Funeral Directors, located at 1223 Sixth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. prior to the visitation’s close. Following these services, the burial will take place at San Gabriel Annex Cemetery in Beasley, Texas, at 12:30 p.m.
Manuel Flores’s life was a beacon of fortitude and love, and while his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit endures through the family he nurtured and the community he touched. His memory remains a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
