Maria Esther Ortiz “Tete”

Maria Esther Ortiz “Tete” of Richmond, TX passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 4, 2021. She was 59 years young.

A viewing will be held in the chapel of E. P. Compean Funeral Directors, 1223 Sixth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm with a rosary being prayed at 6:30pm.

A second viewing will be held in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 10am to 1pm.
Interment will follow at Needville Public Cemetery.

Tete was born to Andres and Maria Esther Hernandez on August 29, 1961, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents Andres and Maria Esther Hernandez and her sister Julia Ortiz.

Tete leaves to cherish her memory her husband Vicente Ortiz Sr, daughter Maria Garza and husband Anthony, son Vicente Ortiz Jr and wife Anna, son Javier Ortiz and wife Jovana and son Antonio Ortiz. Grandchildren: Sergio Garza Jr, Priscilla Garza, Cassandra Garza, Nayeli Garza, Leslie Garza, Aaron Muñoz, Natalia Ortiz, Anali Ortiz, Alexis Ortiz, Aiden Ortiz, Alivia Ortiz, Lorenzo Ortiz and Arlo Ortiz. GreatGrandchildren: Sergio Garza III & Julian Garza and another on the way-Alaia Janeth Belmarez. Brother Andres Hernandez Jr and wife Esmeralda, brother Eduardo Hernandez Sr and wife Adriana, sister Benita Rendon and husband Martin Sr and brother Alberto Hernandez Sr and wife Martha Hernandez as well as many loving family members and friends.
