Susan Ingraham Ashley, 63, was born on Sept. 22, 1953, in Albany, NY., and passed away on May 28, 2017.
Susan lived her formative years in Canada and Holland and returned to Albany in 1967.
Susan worked for and received a BA in Psychology from St. Lawrence University and a Masters in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University. She had a very successful career in Human Resources at Exxon and Houston Cellular Telephone Company. She formed and operated an Executive Coaching/Management Consulting firm (SIA Consulting).
Susan is preceded in death by her father, Richard G. Ingraham.
She is survived by her husband, Morris Ashley; mother, Barbara Ingraham; sister, Sally Ashley and husband Tim; niece, Jennifer Shaw and husband Jeremiah; nephew, Tom Ashley and wife Autumn; great niece, Daphne Shaw; stepson, Eric Ashley.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Smith-Phares Memorial Scholarship Fund, a charity that she helped establish and manage to assist deserving students in the Bauer School of Business at University of Houston. A party celebrating Susan’s Life will be at Cindy’s Palace Banquet Hall, 1102 FM 2977, Richmond TX 77469 on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Business casual attire.
