Trudy Marie Riggs

d. November 3, 2021

Trudy Marie Riggs left this world to be with her Savior on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Katy, Texas.

Trudy was born on December 31, 1942 in Steubenville, Ohio to Harold and Melanie Riggle.

She attended Follansbee High School in Follansbee, West Virginia where she had many friends that she kept in touch with over the years.  After working at the local newspaper, Trudy moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she began working at New York Life and lived with her best friend, the late Cathie Banks.  It was in Atlanta where she met her husband, Gene Riggs, and became a loving mother to his two sons, Cole and Cory.  Some years later after their retirements and a few years of living in Canyon Lake, Texas, Gene and Trudy moved to Weston Lakes to be closer to their family.  She loved and doted on all her grandchildren; and always supported them in their various sports and extracurricular activities.  She was their biggest fan and cheerleader.   Trudy enjoyed adventures with her family and friends and the time spent with them was immeasurable.

Trudy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gene; sons, Cole Riggs and wife Mary, Cory Riggs and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Chase Riggs and wife Alexandra, Christopher Riggs, Caylie Towery and husband Hunter, Cortney Kohleffel and husband Kyle, Cody Riggs, Taylor Reid and husband Jarrod, Kate Kunkel; and two great granddaughters Davy Reid and Charlotte Riggs as well as numerous nieces and nephews including Scott Jackson and wife Bernadine of Weirton, WV; Sean Jackson of Wellsburg, WV; and Melanie Leiendecker of Myrtle Beach, SC.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Melanie Riggle, sister Becky Jackson, brother-in-law Leland Jackson; and brother Bob Riggle.
