Tyler John Macha, 33, of Richmond, TX., was born on December 5, 1991, and passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Service will be held at River Pointe Church, 21000 Southwest Fwy, Richmond, TX 77469 on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00am.

Reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus, 2007 Kaycee Drive, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Cox; paternal grandfather, Johnnie Macha; and uncle, Gary Macha.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Danielle Macha; son, Walker Macha; brother, Travis Macha and wife Lauren; brother, Tristan Waumsley and wife Julianne; sister, Claire Vaughn and husband Austin; mother, Donna Waumsley and step-father, Mark Waumsley; father, Terry Macha; maternal grandmother, Connie Cox; paternal grandmother, Ella Macha; aunt, Wendy Cox-Akers; cousin, Makaylah Macha; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and friends.

Tyler John Macha was the most extraordinary man. He was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel protected, valued, and loved. He was the greatest husband, father, son, brother and friend. Tyler lived his life in service of others.

From the moment he entered this world as a tiny preemie fighting for every breath in the NICU. That same fire, grit, and stubborn will to live became the heartbeat of his entire life.

He served in the Army, upholding the spirit of the 9th Infantry Regiment and their motto, “Keep Up the Fire.” When he became a firefighter, he carried those same standards with him. Always a protector, always answering the call.

Everyone who knew him has a “Macha story” and MAN that guy could talk. Tyler never met a stranger. He’d talk anyone’s ear off, even when people told him to stop because he loved life so much and wanted to share it.

In every picture and memory, you can see how deeply he loved his wife and son. He looked at Dany as if she were the greatest blessing he had ever been given, his Princess, in every sense. He proudly wore his autism tattoo with Walker’s name. He even designed a fire helmet shield with puzzle pieces to honor the son he adored.

Like his favorite gun slinger, Doc Holliday, Tyler refused to let his diagnosis slow him down. Even after hearing the words “terminal cancer,” he kept showing up, still trying to work, still taking care of his family, still helping anyone he could, even until the very end.

Tyler made this world brighter, and he will be missed beyond measure. His legacy lives on in our stories, our memories, and the love he leaves behind. Be like Tyler, “keep up the fire,” never stop fighting, never stop loving your family and never stop serving others.

To honor Tyler, we welcome Western attire: retro Western button-downs, boots, and denim, in black or other funeral appropriate colors.

First responders are welcome to wear their dress blues.
