Velma Ramsey Poe

Velma Ramsey Poe, 89, was born on March 22, 1935, and passed away on January 10, 2025.

 Memorial service will be held on Wed., January 15, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors, LLC. 

 A private interment will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady Texas, later.

Velma is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Buryl Wayne Poe; parents, Jim and Inez Ramsey; daughters, Cynthia Poe Graham and Nijoana Kay Poe; son, Christopher Wayne Poe; son in law, Glynn Edward Graham; grandson, Brady Austin Poe; sisters, Margaret Pierce, Joan Graves and Faye Ramsey; brothers, Bobby, Bill, Dean, Pete, Boyd and Donny Ramsey. 

She leaves behind her son, Steven Kyle Poe (Kimberly); daughter, Jacquetta Poe Lemke (Rick); sister, Larue Ramsey George; daughter-in-law, Tamara Murphy Poe; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.
